Will this sender work on a 2ltr type 4 engine, or is it only for the 1600 ? Cheers

It will not work in the sump plate on the Type 4 engines. But you can use it on the oil pressure switch if you use one of our T-Pieces HERE.

Is this compatible with the smiths temperature gauge??

This should work on all 300 degree F or 150 degree C gauges.
