Splitscreen Bus 5″ Narrowed adjustable springplates.

Ever wanted to install big fat rear wheels and tires on your Splitscreen Bus?

If so then you may need a pair of narrowed spring plates.

For use on all Splitscreen Buses from 1955 onwards that have a Beetle STraight Axle Conversion kit installed.

Adjustable spring plates are a must for Straight Axle conversions. Just try changing your rear wheel at the side of the road with standard springplates, it near impossible.

Built in 25mm drop.

Easy and quick adjustment of your rear suspension height without having to strip your whole rear end apart.

Made in house by TransporterHaus in England.

All new construction featuring:

• High Tensile steel springplate
• CNC made boss
• Broached torsion splines
• TIG welded
• Radiused adjusters
• Zinc passivated

Supplied with 4 torsion bar bushes.

PLEASE NOTE: Narrowed Spring plates are not deisgned to just `bolt on`.  They will require cutting of the the torsion bar tube and then re-welding the end flange.  Shorter A-Arms and Drive shafts will also be required.

Note on the Finish

The finish is black zinc passivate.

This is a rust preventative finish which is ideal as a paint undercoat.

Fitted as is they will corrode eventually going a powder white colour, which is the zinc corroding and is to be expected.
