Morris Golden Film SAE30 Engine Oil (5 Litre Bottle)

Golden Film Classic Motor Oils

Golden Film Classic Motor Oils offer a specialized range of high-quality, low detergent/dispersant monograde lubricants designed to meet the needs of vintage and classic engines. These oils are perfectly suited for use in naturally aspirated four-stroke petrol and diesel engines, as well as classic gearbox designs. Whether you`re maintaining a vintage car, motorcycle, commercial vehicle, or tractor, Golden Film Classic Motor Oils provide the protection and performance your classic engine requires.

Applications:

Golden Film Classic Motor Oils are specifically recommended for use in veteran, classic, and vintage vehicles where the engine design and tolerances are not compatible with modern multigrade oils that have high additive levels. These oils are ideal for engines that rely on early oil filtration systems, such as mesh gauze or strainers, which are not efficient enough to remove suspended contaminants. By allowing suspended matter to settle harmlessly into the sump, Golden Film Classic Motor Oils help to maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of classic engines.

These oils are also enhanced with anti-foam properties, optimizing performance in both motorcycle and automotive classic gearbox designs.

Engine Oil Grades:

Understanding the viscosity rating of motor oil is crucial for selecting the right oil for your engine:

  • Winter Rating (W): The number before the “W” indicates the oil`s viscosity in cold conditions. A lower number means thinner oil, which flows more quickly during cold starts, reducing engine wear when the engine is dry.
  • Operating Temperature Viscosity: The second number indicates the oil`s viscosity at 100°C. A higher number means thicker oil, providing better protection against metal-on-metal wear when the engine is hot.

For example, Morris straight 30 oil maintains a consistent viscosity across all engine temperatures, whereas a 10W40 oil starts thin in cold conditions and thickens as the engine reaches operating temperature.

Important Note: Semi-synthetic or synthetic multigrade oils must not be used in air-cooled engines. Only mineral multigrade oils are suitable.

Why Choose Golden Film Classic Motor Oils?

  • Low Dispersant Formula: Designed for older engines, allowing contaminants to settle in the sump rather than being suspended in the oil.
  • Enhanced Anti-Foam Properties: Ensures optimal performance in classic gearboxes and engine designs.
  • Specialized Application: Perfectly suited for classic vehicles where modern oils may not provide the necessary protection.

Keep your classic engine running smoothly and reliably with Golden Film Classic Motor Oils, the preferred choice for discerning owners of vintage and classic vehicles.
