CSP Beetle Wide 5 Rear Disc Brake Conversion - 1950-67 (5x205 PCD - Cross Drilled)

Now you can have old school-look wheels with modern German braking technology…on all 4 wheels! Same features as our proven front 5×205 disc brake kits: easy installation with minimal or no effect on wheel offset.

No major modifications are required and they are available for the following vehicles:

Beetle and Karmann Ghia with swing axle

Beetle and Karmann Ghia with IRS Thing (Type-181) Bus 1955-1967 with straight axle kit

Bus 1955-1967 with Beetle IRS

Type-3

and all Buggies, KitCars and Replicas with Beetle swing axle or IRS rear suspension

The kit contains all parts to convert the car to a 5×205 rear disc brake system, including handbrake cable.

Only the master cylinder needs to be purchased separately in order to match the application.

Replacing your brake disc is the simplest step to upgrading your braking system and achieve more response and efficient braking in all conditions.

Cross drilled discs ensure greater grip and more responsive braking.  This is because the holes create better friction between the disc and the pad.  These holes also disrupt the layer of water that can cover the braking surface in wet weather conditions.  That layer of water acts as a cushion on standard discs which can cause poor braking.
