CSP Beetle Front Disc Brake Conversion (Cross Drilled, Zero Offset) - 1950-65 - 5x130 PCD

Since 2003 the CSP disc brake system is also available with 5×130 PCD (also known as Porsche PCD) and is meanwhile tried and tested a thousand times! It is characterized by its tremendous reliability and the fact that it is TÜV approved!

The CSP disc brake is basically a hub/disc combination and its simple construction makes it applicable on most aircooled Volkswagens. The CNC machined cast alloy hubs accept discs made in Germany with a diameter of 282×9 mm through high-strength connecting elements. The modified calipers are also from a German mass production manufacturer.

Based on the unmodified axle components of the respective cars the CSP disc brakes are mounted to the original spindles by CNC machined adapters. There is no need to modify or alter the spindles, which makes it easy to swap back to the original drum brakes if requested.

A TÜV certification is available for all disc brake systems listed on this page. It is included in your order if it is of relevance in your country.

Every kit is complete with CNC machined cast alloy hubs with rotors and wheel bearings installed, CNC machined caliper brackets, new calipers with pads, stainless steel grease caps, stainless steel dust covers (if applicable), brake hoses and fitting instructions in English. Only the master cylinder has to be purchased separately, depending on the type of Volkswagen you use.

We also offer a Zero Offset (ZO) version to keep the track width at a minimum on Beetles and Ghias. This version has a different hub and uses aluminum adapters for the calipers. Through this modification the track width can be reduced from +12 mm to +3,5 mm per side.

Not for use with 14“ wheels or smaller diameter.

Why Fit Cross Drilled Discs?

  • Attractive and Sporty Look
  • Performance and Safety

Replacing your brake disc is the simplest step to upgrading your braking system and achieve more response and efficient braking in all conditions.

Cross drilled discs ensure greater grip and more responsive braking.  This is because the holes create better friction between the disc and the pad.  These holes also disrupt the layer of water that can cover the braking surface in wet weather conditions.  That layer of water acts as a cushion on standard discs which can cause poor braking.
