T2 1.7-2.0 EMPI Exhaust Header - Black

These exhausts fit the 1700cc, 1800cc & 2000cc Bus engines (these higher powered engines were first fitted to VW Type 4 cars and, accordingly, are now generally referred to as `Type 4` engines).

VW began to fit Type 4 engines to Bay Window buses in late 1971 and they were used up until 1983 (so are fitted to many early Type 25 buses).

If fitting one of these exhausts to a Type 25 the rear panel may need minor modification.

NOTE: EMPI Headers and Mufflers are coated with a layer of paint which acts as a rust inhibitor and may burn off once they get hot.  It is best to clean off the coating with a good solvent then paint the system with quality hi-temp paint.  Systems are not warranted against rust.
