STEEL BACKED Type 1 Crankshaft Main Bearing Set

Replacement steel backed crankshaft main bearings for use on all aircooled 1200cc to 1600cc Type 1 engines.

Top engine builders will tell you that all aluminium centre main bearings can cause increased bearing wear or premature failure and will eventually pound out the centre main web of the engine case due to the bearings softer construction.

Quality: Manufactured in Mexico by Silverline, an original equipment supplier 

Fitment: These bearings are for engines that have had the following machine work:

• Crank: 0 GRIND
• Case: 0 BORE
• Thrust: 0 CUT

Measurements: If measuring your existing bearings to identify which you require, you can obtain all the measurements from the main thrust bearing with the collars (bearing pictured on the far right of the image).

 For reference standard main bearings measure:

• 55mm (ID) – Crankshaft measurement
• 65mm (OD) – Crankcase measurement
• 22mm – (WIDTH) – Thrust measurement (width between thrust surfaces on bearing nearest the flywheel)
