This breather tower is mounted on the alternator stand in place of the oil filler. Made from aluminium this box allows the case vapours to ventilate from the oil before it returns to the case. Situated on the box is a cap which acts as a new oil filler in a much more accessible place especially for vans with limited space.

Daft question I know but how many ports are there on this housing I can see the two at the bottom I figure these are for valve cover vents I can see one in the rear but doubt I'd be able to use this one with the straight fittings supplied and I can see there is possibly one on the top for running to the air cleaner, are there two at the top so I can run one hose to each air cleaner or will I need to buy at least a blanking plug for the hole at the rear and maybe a tee piece for the top if there's only one hole to feed both carburetors, also is there a foam insert to prevent oil mist being draw up into the carbs. Sorry for the long winded question I'm probably trying too much with one item Thanks in advance Neil

There are 5 breather holes on this. two at the top, two at the bottom and one on the back. A foam insert is not included.
