Type 1 SCAT H-Beam Con Rod Set - 5.500" Long With Chevy Journals

Scat H-Beam chevy journal con rods are manufactured using a computerized machining process which hold extremely close tolerances.

H-Beam con rods are designed to be as compact as possible reducing the need to clearance the crankcase on long stroke or stroker crankshafts

Each rod has:

• Centre to centre length of +/- 0.001″
• Big end barrel/bellmouth/taper of +/- 0.0002″
• Little end bore of +/- 0.0002″
• Balanced end for end and packaged into sets of 4 within +/1 1 gram

Rods are made from 4340 high nickel and chrome content material insuring the highest tensile strength and fatigue strength from the multi-step heat treating process.

They are then Shot Peened, X-rayed, sonic tested and magnafluxed. Each rod is then fitted with a 3/8″ 8740 Bolt for extra strength.
