Splitscreen Bus Safari Window Wing Nut Washer

Split Buses had the factory option of having opening front windows known as Safari Windows installed.

There are also many after market kits available to allow you to install Safari windows onto your Bus.

However all the kits that we have seen on the market uses a nylon washer between the wing nuts and the slider bars which keep your windows open.  However nylon washers are not ideal and originally the washer which is designed to protect your paintwork were phenolic.

So now you can replace your original washers or upgrade the nylon washers supplied in your aftermarket kit to the correct phenolic washers which will grip the chrome or paint without damaging it and hold the gliders in place making sure you can clamp the window in your desired position.

You will need one washer each side of the glider bar per wing nut, so 8 in total to fit a pair of Safari windows.
