The Barndoor Splitscreen Bus came to an end in March 1955 in favour of a new model that included a separate tailgate.
These new models were manufactured from March 1955 to July 1963 and are commonly known now as small window Buses.
The tailgate on these buses has a support rod that slides up and down the side of the tailgate and keeps it open.
This support rod is held onto the Bus with a bolt. And Guess what… This is that bolt.
Often missing or lost in restoration this bolt could be the missing piece to your resto!
