6 Volt Dynamo Regulator - Mounted On Body (50 AMP)

Volkswagen improved the 6-volt power circuit from the 35Amp 90mm generator to a more powerful 105mm 50Amp generator before upgrading to 12-Volts.

The 50Amp 6-volt regulators have been discontinued by Bosch or any other brand for a long time, so after developing, learning, using and selling the BBT 6-volt 35Amp regulators, they have now developed their own 50Amp version.

The 50 Amp regulator is mounted originally on either the firewall behind the engine or under the rear seat depending on your model.

This 6 Volt regulator is produced in a Vintage Bosch style.  The cap supplied is interchangeable with your original Bosch cap by simply screwing it on and off.  This way a 100% authentic look can be maintained in your engine compartment.

Inside you will find the latest high tech electronics with top 21st century technology with lots of saftey devices built right in.  So if you miswire your new regulator then obviously it will not work, but it will not break either unlike an original which would short circuit itself.  Other devises installed help to maintain functionality against moisture and high temperatures.
