The problem with fitting door rubbers to early cars, is that the volume of rubber is sometimes just too great, plus the door lock area doesn't have a uniform section, but has a greatly increased mass, which means that doors will not shut without huge force. What are these items like please, especially in the lock area?

These rubbers are the best available on the market but as with all new rubbers they do take time to 'bed in' Until they have fully settled then closing doors will take a little more force.
