Hey guys Rob here from Cool Air VW
Welcome to my video guide on how to fit bumper impact strips onto a late Bay.
The first stage is to clean the bumper of any dirt and grime make sure that the surface is clean and dry before attempting to fit the new impact strips.
The front bumper impact strip is shorter than the rear one so select the correct strip for the bumper you are working on.
Using an allen key undo each end of the impact strip to maximise the length. Make sure that you do not unscrew the bolt too much, if you do it will come out of the clamp on the end of the metal strip inside the rubber. Hook the clamp on the end of the impact strip around the edge of one side of your bumper.
keeping the impact strip under tension, move around the bumper and then attach the other clamp on the other end.
Now tighten up the allen head screws on each end which will tighten the impact strip around the bumper.
Make sure that you tighten each end equally.
And that’s it simple!
